Douglas K. White, ND

Dr. White completed his undergrad studies at Willamette University in Salem, OR. Dr. White specializes in physical medicine and sports injuries. His interest in these areas stems from years of sports training. While attending Willamette University, he earned his psychology degree as well as received all district and all conference recognition for playing soccer. In 1981 he was an alternate for the US national soccer team.

Dr. White completed his pre-med training at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA, while also earning degrees in Biology, Education, and a certificate to teach.

In 1996 he completed his Naturopathic Physician training at Bastyr University, and instructed Hydrotherapy/Physiotherapy and the spinal/extremity manipulation 1,2 and 3 courses for the naturopathic medicine students for 9 years.

Dr. White believes in a holistic approach to physical medicine combining nutritional supplementation, lifestyle modification and hands-on manual therapies to aid in healing the cause, not just covering the symptoms.

Stephanie Taylor-White, ND

Dr. Taylor-White specializes in detoxification and women's health, as well as offering holistic and natural family medicine. She pursued pre-med studies at the University of Washington where she was a national merit scholar, graduating Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa.

In 1995 she received her Naturopathic Medicine degree from Bastyr University in Seattle. Dr. Taylor-White uses her expertise and clinical experience to educate the public on natural and alternative medicine through lectures and seminars.

Dr. Taylor-White believes strongly in the healing power of nature and is committed to treating all levels of the person--body, mind and spirit. Her style of healing combines knowledge of the medical sciences and natural therapies, with caring and sensitivity to bring about a healing partnership with her patients.

She is an active member of both the American and Washington associations of Naturopathic Physicians.

Dean E. Neary Jr., ND

Dr. Dean E. Neary Jr., naturopathic physician, has been in private practice since receiving his ND degree from Bastyr University in 1996. Dr. Neary received his bachelors degree in Human Health Sciences from Bastyr University after completion of undergraduate course work at both Everett Community College and the University of Washington.

Dr. Neary is currently an associate professor and the Chair of the Physical Medicine Department in the School of Naturopathic Medicine at Bastyr University where he has served for the past ten years. In addition he is currently a clinical supervisor at Bastyr University’s teaching clinic, Bastyr Center for Natural Health, in Seattle.

He was a member of the adjunct faculty at Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine for three years in the late nineties prior to its closure. He is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians (WANP).

Dr. Neary was a contributing author of the recently published first ever “Textbook of Naturopathic Medicine” published by Elsevier. He has been interviewed numerous times on a variety of medical topics by both local and national electronic and print media sources.

Dr. Neary’s clinical passion lies in the art, science, and practice of the physical medicine modalities as well as the treatment of a variety of “endocrine” disorders. He is highly skilled in joint manipulation, soft tissue evaluation/treatment, and numerous physiotherapy modalities such as therapeutic ultrasound, NMES/TENS therapies, diathermy, low level laser therapy, and various hydrotherapies. He loves the opportunity to assist individuals who are struggling with the signs/symptoms associated with conditions/issues such as; hypothyroidism, chronic fatigue, MS, menopause, metabolic syndrome, hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol), blood sugar disorders (diabetes), hypertension, and weight gain. Dr. Neary has also received training in the practice of various intravenous (IV) therapies.

Dr. Neary lives in Monroe and enjoys the simple pleasures of spending time with family and friends, as well as all of the activities the great outdoors have to offer. He is especially passionate about hunting, fishing, camping, and long rides on his Harley.

Douglas C. Lewis, ND

For more than 20 years, Dr. Lewis has operated a private practice of naturopathic medicine in Seattle, with an emphasis on physical medicine. For most of that time, before becoming President of the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians in 2006, he taught naturopathic medical students as an adjunct faculty member and clinical supervisor at Bastyr University. He served two terms as Chair of the university's Department of Physical Medicine, a department which he created at the university in 1992. At Bastyr, Dr. Lewis taught courses in hydrotherapy and physiotherapy modalities, soft tissue manipulation, muscle energy techniques, joint manipulation, rheumatology, and orthopedics. He has also consulted and taught workshops in England and Ireland. A frequent contributor to natural medicine guides and textbooks, Dr. Lewis's writings include contributions to "Naturopathic Physical Medicine", "The Textbook of Natural Medicine", and "Alternative Medicine: The Definitive Guide," as well as authorship of the book "Practical Hydrotherapy for the Whole Family." Dr. Lewis earned his doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from The John Bastyr College of Naturopathic Medicine in 1987 before it became known as Bastyr University.

Dominika Zajdel, ND

Dr. Dominika Zajdel, naturopathic physician, received her undergraduate degree in social psychology at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA. During her time at the university, she worked as a patient care representative for PeaceHealth Hospitals and discovered her passion for helping others find their path to wellness. She obtained her Naturopathic Medicine degree at Bastyr University and completed a year of clinical residency at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health in Seattle, where she is currently serving as adjunct faculty.

While Dr. Dominika has a special interest in women’s health and inflammatory conditions, she practices naturopathic family medicine and welcomes everyone, regardless of age or medical condition. She is a highly motivated and compassionate health care practitioner who is committed to helping her patients obtain their health goals and experience life without limitations. She is dedicated to educating, empowering and accompanying patients on their journey towards optimal health. Dr. Dominika’s fundamental treatment philosophy is to “use the least force necessary” and she believes in providing personalized integrative medical care to each unique individual.

Dr. Dominika lives in Monroe and enjoys outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and learning to fish. She also loves reading and a good cup of coffee. She’s fluent in Polish and spent the first 7 years of her life in the country, landing in the United States after a 2 year stint in Italy. She has a passion for travel and little by little plans to explore the world.

Kaira Jorgensen, EAMP, L.Ac.

Kaira has a private family practice in Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture and combines many techniques to promote healing and wellness. She treats all ages and many different types of conditions.

Kaira had always been interested in holistic health care and began her career in alternative medicine in 1999 by attending the Whole Foods Nutrition program at Bastyr University. Bastyr is located in Kenmore, Washington and is known as the leading Naturopathic and complementary medicine institution in the country. In 2001, she received her Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and in 2004 a Masters of Science in Acupuncture. Most of her post graduate work  and clinical focus have been in pain, rheumatology, women’s health, infertility and pregnancy. She is also board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Kaira places great emphasis on education in her practice and emphasizes working closely with each person to optimize their own health and wellness. In her free time she can be found out at the barn playing with her horse or enjoying the outdoors with her family in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

Marie E. Snyder-Ayala, LMP

Marie has been a massage therapist since 2000 when she graduated with honors from Ashmead School of Massage. Prior to that she spent over 25 years studying in metaphysical studies before becoming a Reiki Master in 1998.

Marie finds that her patients greatly benefit from combining massage and energy work together. Her focus is on treating the indivdual, from infant to the elderly, practicing relaxation to therapeutic treatments.

Marie believes that staying current with new techniques is a must with participating in continuing education monthly. She is a long standing member of the AMTA and is currently volunteering as the Secretary of the Snohomish County Massage Therapist Network.
